Two of the keys to being a great Martial Artist are an understand of how to be a respectful student, and how to be a reliable training partner. This special event will tell you all you need to know about being a great example of what it means to be a “Martial Artist in Training.”

  • Boombox is designed to be a laid back, comfortable training environment. That said, as Martial Artists, the culture and etiquette of our lineage matters. Learn important examples of etiquett and expectations that will ensure your successful participation in any dojo or martial arts gym environment.

  • There’s a fine line between helping a partner and coaching a partner, between supportive input and unnecessary criticism. Learn to walk that line in a way that your Instructors and Training Partners truly appreciate, both during group classes and during training sessions outside of class.

  • Learn what it takes to be considered a reliable and trustworthy training partner. For productive partner training outside of class, consistency is key!

  • Get crucial details that will make you the kind effective and safety-minded Thai Pad and Focus Mitt holder that everyone wants to work with!

  • Get insights into ways to structure your solo and partner training sessions, ensuring not only your best use of time per session, but also that your ongoing training will take you further in the direction of reaching your individual and partner goals.

This is a Donation-Based Workshop. All proceeds will go to help defer costs for Youth Program and Youth Summer Camp Scholarships at Boombox.

Suggested Minimum Donation is $15.
