Hand/Limb Trapping is a core element of the MKG Method of Martial Arts.

Trapping includes any technique or tactic that seeks to physically limit or suppress the mobility of an opponent’s limbs in an effort to:

-Limit opponent’s offensive options
-Create space for landing one’s own strikes
-Use the opponent’s own energy against them
-Setup the use of the body’s major tools
-Change the dynamics of the engagement in one’s own favor

This workshop will focus on Trapping aspects developed via the Filipino Martial Arts, some of the most exciting and fascinating drill sets of the MKG Method. You will learn the various flow-state drills of “Higot Hubad-Lubad”, including many rarely-seen exercises that will take your coordination and awareness to whole new levels, as well as methods for functionalizing your trapping skills via Filipino Dirty Boxing (Panantukan).
